Southwest is currently having a 72 hour fare sale with fare prices ranging from just $49 to $149 each way.
This is one of Southwest’s big fare sales and it’s probably worth it to make bookings for trips, even if they are tentative.
You can also book your trip using points. When booking with points the amount of points needed have also been reduced, being that the fares are now on sale, the point redemption’s are also on sale.
With Southwest airlines, you can cancel revenue tickets with no charge and use the funds for a future flight up-to 1 year. Point reservations can be cancelled for free with no penalty and the points redeposited. Also, southwest allows 2 free checked bags.
If you’ve already booked trips between December 7 through December 18, 2013 and January 7 through February 12, 2014, check to see if the prices have dropped through this sale, as with Southwest you can cancel and rebook your flights without a change fee.
