Citibank has a unique credit card, which at times can be very lucrative, it’s called The Citi Rewards+℠ Card.
This card has an amazing feature where for every purchase you make, your points earned will automatically round up to the nearest 10 points! This means you’ll earn a minimum of 10 points per purchase no matter the amount of your purchase. If you purchase a $2 coffee, or a $0.99 pack of floss picks or even a $0.55 eyeshaddow brush, each purchase will earn you 10 points!
The bonus offer that comes with this card is 15,000 bonus points. You need to spend just $1,000 within the first 3 months from card opening to the earn the bonus points. 15,000 bonus points for a card which carries no annual fee, is a pretty nice offer.
Spending on this card will net you 2 points for every $1 at supermarkets and gas stations, up to >$6,000 in combined supermarket and gas station spending. After that you’ll earn 1 point per dollar, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases.
As mentioned, the real sweet spot of this card is the unique and at times lucrative feature of the nearest 10 point purchase roundup. This 10 point roundup is on every purchase! For instance a $1 purchase that would normally net you 1 point, will instead earn you 10 points – which is 10% back! A $5 purchase will earn you 10 points, a $65 purchase will earn you 70 points etc;.
The nearest 10 point roundup even works on purchases that earn 2 points per dollar! This means a $7 purchase at the supermarket, will double to 14 points, then will be rounded up to 20 points!
Another feature of this card, which makes it all the more valuable, is that you’ll get 10% back on the first 100,000 points that you redeem per calendar year. This means, for instance, if you redeem 50,000 points, you’ll get a reimbursement back of 5,000 points, if you redeem 100,000 points, you’ll get back a reimbursement of 10,000 points into your account!
This card also comes with a 0% intro APR on all purchases and balance transfers for the first 15 months.
There is no annual fee on this card.
Bottom line, the The Citi Rewards+℠ Card is an excellent card if you are in the habit of making multiple small purchases throughout the day, as this card will earn a nice bit of extra points, on these purchases!
Points earned on this card are Citi ThankYou points, which are redeemable for travel on the Citi portal, statement credits toward your balance or gift cards and are worth 1 cent per point. Alternatively, you can transfer your points to JetBlue’s TrueBlue rewards program at a 5:4 ratio.

Every time you make a purchase, the points you earn will be rounded up to the nearest 10 points. So if you make a purchase for $2, instead of earning 2 points, you’ll earn 10 points. Or for example, if you make a $27 purchase at a gas station, you would be earning 2 points per dollar, which would get you 54 points, but the points earned will be rounded up to 60 points.
